Produced by Artsplosure, First Night Raleigh is poised to begin its 26th annual celebration in downtown Raleigh on December 31st, 2019. Expected to draw up to 80,000 people, this event is community-focused and family-friendly. Event passes go on sale beginning December 1st. 

The events will occur over a 20 block area in downtown Raleigh, so be prepared for a night of walking from venue to venue. Highlights include 35 different venues with over 100 performances, all packed into a single evening from 2 pm until midnight. Start your holiday season by making memories at the Annual North Hills Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, with an afternoon filled with fun activities that both kids and parents will love. The fun starts in North Hills at 3:30 pm in the Commons with everything building up to the big Christmas tree lighting at 6:00 pm. Admission to the event is free, and parking is available nearby at the Main District Garage.

• Sledding Slopes and Trackless Train Rides – Are your kids dreaming of a white Christmas? While there may not be traditional snow at the Christmas tree lighting, kids can enjoy some sledding on "Snow My Yard" sledding slopes, or take an enchanted, holiday-themed trackless train ride.

• Bounce House, Face Painting, and More – The North Hill Christmas Tree Lighting will also feature traditional childhood favorites, including a bounce house and face-painting for the holidays.
