North Carolina State Fair

It's almost time to enjoy one of Raleigh's most popular annual events, the North Carolina State Fair. The fair provides the perfect chance to connect with the community, learn about agriculture, participate in fun family activities, eat fantastic, local food, and ride exhilarating carnival rides on the Midway.   • 10 Days of North Carolina Heritage and Family Fun
    Shopping for Raleigh homes for sale, and new to the area? The North Carolina State Fair provides the perfect place to get to know your new community, and have a great time in the process. The fair provides 10 full days of fun for all ages, drawing visitors from throughout the state. The NC State Fair is so large that it would be impossible to experience it all in one day!

  • Rides and Games for All Ages
    Throughout the fair, visitors can head to the Midway Rides area for fun rides and carnival games. This is always one of the most popular spots at the NC State Fair, with a great mix of thrill rides and rides designed for younger visitors. The State Fair SkyGazer, a 155 foot tall Ferris wheel, is a highlight, providing unmatched views of the bustling fairgrounds from above. Enjoy all of your favorite carnival rides, along with a few new surprises.

  • Free Entertainment Every Day
    Your admission pass to the NC State Fair gives you access to tons of free entertainment. There will be lumberjack performances, magic shows, a fire safety show for kids, and even pig races. Many of the free performances are geared toward kids.

  • Experience North Carolina's Musical Heritage at the Folk Festival
    Visit the Folk Festival at the NC State Fair to take a trip through our state's musical heritage, with dancing and live performances. The Folk Festival covers a wide range of musical genres and features everything from clogging to square dancing.

  • Visit the Village of Yesteryear for Crafts and More
    Travel back in time at the Village of Yesteryear, where you can watch artisans create unique crafts using historically accurate methods. This is an excellent opportunity to see how things were built in different eras, and there are even chances to make your crafts to take home. The Village of Yesteryear is also an excellent place to shop for unique gifts and decorations.

  • How to Purchase Passes for NC State Fair 2019
    Tickets are available at the gate during every day of the NC State Fair. You can also purchase tickets online in advance to skip the entry line. You can purchase daily admission passes online, along with ride wristbands.
