7 Places to Catch Outdoor Movies in the Triangle

Catching an outdoor movie during the summer has become a tradition in Raleigh and the greater Triangle area.

Many of our area's homes for sale are in the midst of a thriving cinema scene, and outdoor theaters are one of the exciting surprises that make living in the Triangle special.

Grab some lawn chairs and blankets and get ready to settle in under the stars to watch a great movie with your family and friends.

Our REALTORS® are here with seven places to see outdoor movies:

  1. Apex Nature Park Amphitheatre – 2600 Evans Road, Apex, NC 27502
Apex homes for sale are just a short trip from the two locations of Apex Music and Movies in the Park. Every summer, locals gather at one of Apex's top parks to enjoy family-friendly movies and live musical performances for free. Have you decided to call the Triangle home? You've made a good choice. Now, let's find you a house.

With well-lauded local cities and towns, there are plenty of communities and neighborhoods to consider as you narrow down your list of wants and needs.

Urban Living

Raleigh and Durham offer burgeoning downtowns with developing cityscapes and urban convenience.

Acclaimed restaurants and bars and cultural and sports venues are located only sidewalks apart offering goings-on before and after dark.

You'll find an array of newly debuted luxury townhomes, light-filled condos, and historical and new construction homes to consider as your own.

Suburban Setting

From Hillsborough and Mebane in the West to Zebulon and even Goldsboro in the East, you can pick from a number of Triangle area suburbs perfectly situated near main thoroughfares offering small-town living and demanded commuter convenience.

Main Street towns like Apex, Cary, Morrisville and Wake Forest make for ideal places to plant roots and grow your family just beyond the hustle and bustle of bigger city life.

You can select from golf-course communities, mature neighborhoods, new master-planned developments, contemporary townhomes and much more.

Triangle Living Picnic Spots

After a busy week showing Raleigh homes for sale, many of our REALTORS® enjoy spending time outdoors. Good news: On top of its world-class amenities and economy, the Triangle has protected plenty of green spaces for residents to explore.

With National Picnic Month in July, it's a perfect time to visit them.

You'll find the Triangle's great cities are dotted with municipal parks. Not only that, but a number of state parks and other preserved areas are waiting for you. You can stay close to your neighborhood or make a day of it in a forest glen or mountainous vista.

Let's look at some of the best places to picnic all throughout the Triangle:

  1. Pullen Park – 520 Ashe Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27606
In Raleigh, you'll happen upon beautiful Pullen Park, established in 1887. Sprawling across 66 acres, Pullen is known for being the first public park in North Carolina. It includes a carousel, mini-train, aquatic center, arts center, and cafe. There are plenty of shelters to shield you from the sun during your picnic. Of course, you are always welcome to spread a blanket on the grass.
